A girls night out in Tomball! Follow Tiffany (the videographer and editor) and Janet (the Realtor and writer) as we try out three fun spots on Main Street, starting with drinks, moving on to appetizers, and settling in for the main course!!
There are so many restaurants in Tomball and on Main St that we have not gotten to try out, so we decided to go out one night and sample the menu during a progressive dinner!! We had seen a place called the Thirsty Bee Meadery, and decided it would be the perfect place to have some pre dinner drinks!!
"What is Mead?"
We had no idea, and had never tried mead before. We knew the sign said honey wine/ tasting room and that's all we needed to peek our interest. We were immediately greeted with a quant/cozy tasting room with, and chose a couple flights so we could try as many as we could. As we tried the flights we were briefed on how they make the mead. And what mead is. Mead is one of the oldest alcoholic drinks known to man. It is essentially a wine made from fermented honey. The owners are beekeepers, and have been making their own honey for the last 7 years. They ferment the honey and make all the mead right there... about 100 feet from where we were enjoying the flight! We chose a flight of 3 draft meads, which resemble more of the texture of beer. And we chose a flight of 3 bottled meads, which is more similar to wine. All of the samples we picked was combined with a different type of fruit/flavoring. Being a wine lover, I really enjoyed the bottled selections. The tasting room has board games that you can play while enjoying your samplings ... which really makes the perfect date night! They offer private parties, so it is a great place for a small group meeting, bridal shower, or birthday meet up!!

Next up on the schedule was appetizers at Graze
" Time to Graze"
Graze is a relatively new restaurant in Tomball. They opened up at the beginning of 2022. I had passed by numerous times, and have heard others talking about it..... so I looked at the menu and thought this would be a great place for us to have a few appetizers.

We made reservations, as it is recommended. It is a smaller establishment, and meant to be a more intimate experience. The menu was full of international comfort food type items. Wine, spirits, and mixology plays a large part in their offerings. They infuse some of their drinks/liquors right there at the bar... with some infusing over a period of a couple hours to a couple days. We chose to try the Black Manhattan, Fire and Ice margarita, and The Bramble cocktail. The charcuterie board was chosen as our appetizer, since we still needed to eat our main course and dessert. The drinks were great!! The Fire and Ice margarita was quite spicy, and left a tingling feeling on the lips the rest of the dinner. The Bramble was the perfect fruity cocktail. The charcuterie board came out looking like an artwork in and of itself. We wished we could have had more time to dive into more of the heartier side of the menu, which features entrees like New York Strip steaks, Bourbon Meatballs, and Herb Roast Chicken with fresh ricotta ravioli. Graze is definitely on the list to return for the full course dinner!!!
One more place to go!
"I don't want to Progress too fast"
We had to pace ourselves at Graze, because we were excited to get to our last restaurant of the evening. The Bonfire Grill!!! The Bonfire Grill is an cozy restaurant on main street offering a one of a kind American style foods... with farm fresh ingredients...brick oven straight from Italy... hand made cocktails, with a huge assortment of whiskeys/bourbon. We had both been here before and knew it was amazing!!! We really enjoy their pizza and dessert, so unfortunately we already had that in our mind and went for it. We need to go back and actually try the other menu items. We did stray off what we typically would do for our drinks.

I ordered the blue lemon mojito, and Tiffany ordered the smoked bourbon. The smoked drink was to DIE for!!! I loved it!!!
The barbeque pizza was great too. But we were really ready for dessert. We ordered the New York cheesecake and the Cream Brule.
All in all we enjoyed our progressive dinner. Next time we might keep the amount of restaurants we visit to two instead of three. Tomball, being a small town, has establishments that close down earlier instead of later. We kind of felt rushed trying to get in and get out. We would have liked more time to dive deeper into the menus.
One thing is for sure... Tomball is not lacking original, amazing, culinary experiences!!!
We cannot wait to go back for more!!!
